LEAD PASTOR: HARRIS HOLSAPPLE IV (SARAH)

Pastor Harris and his wife Sarah have been leading the church with fresh vision, excitement, passion, and creative ideas to win Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas for Christ. Pastor Harris has a heart to see lives transformed by the power of God and to see people experience new life!
The lead pastor develops the church vision, provides organizational management oversight, serves as the primary preacher/teacher and partners with the Executive Board.

STUDENT MINISTRIES PASTOR: CODY VAN SICKLE

The Student Ministry pastor is responsible for leading middle school and high school ministry by developing ministry plans, implementing the ministry vision, pastoring the students, recruiting and equipping volunteers and coordinating general administrating.

JOSIAH’S PLAYGROUND DIRECTOR & CHILDREN’S MINISTRY COORDINATOR: TRUDI KESTERSON

The daycare director runs the day to day operations of Josiah’s Playground. This includes but is not limited to oversight of teaching, financials, and administration for Josiah’s Playground.

DIRECTOR OF MUSIC & TECH DIRECTOR: SONNY FRIIS (KAY)

They bring spiritual musical leadership to worship ministry through service planning, corporate worship leading, equipping leaders and over all support to the broad ministry. Oversees the ministries of local outreach, community care, prayer and evangelism.

FINE ARTS DIRECTOR & EXECUTIVE CHILDREN’S DIRECTOR: ABBY LASECKI (TOM)

Abby supports, helps, assists and serves as a vital part of children’s ministry by maintaining ministry information, preparing and distributing curriculum materials and offering administrative support. As the Music/Arts Director she also fills in on worship team and prepares and directs the large church productions.

MISSION AND OUTREACH DIRECTOR: DAVE WAGNER (KAROLYN)

They lead weekly mission meetings and prayer for the Nations. Also provides monthly mission update to the Church as a whole. Dave & Karolyn organize and lead missions trips to different countries and supports local outreach within the church. This includes heading our Food Pantry and garden ministry.

DIRECTOR OF STEWARDSHIP: KAROLYN WAGNER

Karolyn supports the management of financial processes and record keeping, including processing cash receipts, dispersing payments, preparing reports and providing support to all ministries.

PASTOR EMERITUS: CHARLES STEVENS (SHARON)

Pastor Stevens has served at First Open Bible for 50+ years. He serves as the lead pastor’s mentor and provides spiritual guidance to all leadership. Pastor Stevens has retired from active lead pastor but continues to serve and has earned the honorable title of Pastor Emeritus.

MINISTER OF MUSIC: BRENT KELLEY

Oversees the worship/music ministry team of the church by developing, coordinating and administering Spirit-led worship.

MARKETING & CREATIVE DIRECTOR: SARAH HOLSAPPLE

Supports and encourages teams by leading in ideations, solving problems and generating new ideas and concepts within the church. Works and collaborates with all ministries in strategic and creative planning.

FACILITY ASSISTANT: MARY MOORE (TIM)

The facility assistant is responsible for the cleaning, care, set up, and maintenance of church property.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR & LEAD PASTOR’S ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: SHERRI PEIFFER (MATT)

Supports, helps, assists and serves by completing administrative processes, providing receptionist coverage, supporting the senior pastor and as assigned, supporting other ministry operation teams. Also supports Josiah’s Playground Director and organizational and financial administration.
